Finance Manager

Who is Kadonation?

Founded in 2016, Kadonation has been featured in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for four consecutive years!

Our scale-up is a dynamic player in the corporate gifting market. Our credo? Making an impact. That’s why we built Kadonation Select: an intuitive platform that allows organizations to set up a comprehensive gifting policy from A to Z in no time. Our software removes the administrative hassle associated with employee and business gifts.

We are looking for…

… a Finance Manager who already has their first experience in this role under their belt. Do you have a sharp eye for figures, but do you dive into a complex contract with equal pleasure? We are looking for someone who uses their common sense in a hands-on position: you navigate diverse legal files with ease, but also perfectly translate financial data into concrete business advice.

You will manage our internal Accountant and report directly to the CEO. Every day, you will help build the future of Kadonation, with the prospect of eventually growing into a CFO role.

What does the role involve?

You will be responsible for two crucial pillars within the organization:

1. Legal & Compliance:
You are our internal expert for everything related to contracts and legislation. This includes:

  • Contract Management: Reviewing various contracts (partners, vendors, etc.) and advising on potential legal risks.

  • Compliance: Serving as the point of contact for our DPO regarding GDPR. You will also play a key role in maintaining our ISO27001 certification.

  • Legal Partner: Acting as a sparring partner for HR on legal topics and maintaining contacts with external legal counsel.

2. Finance & Business Controlling: While our internal and external accountants ensure our bookkeeping is flawless, your focus lies on the strategic and analytical side:

  • Reporting & budgeting: You prepare the budget and manage the forecast. You compile reports in Emasphere, prepare board meetings, and present the figures in an accessible way during our monthly All Employee Meetings (AEM). Additionally, you play a key role in maintaining contact with our shareholders and new investors.

  • Business Intelligence: You bridge the gap between finance and the business. You manage the revenue control system and analyze profit margins; furthermore, you identify strategic priorities and act as a trusted advisor.

  • Projects & Innovation: Tackling operational challenges. Are debtors paying late? You analyze the cause and roll out an improved process. Can certain tasks be handled more efficiently? You’ll work this out together with our AI specialist!

  • Management: You are the N+1 for our internal accountant (Tinne), ensuring a seamless financial flow.

  • Governance & Strategy: Serving as the point of contact for tax audits and our auditor. You will meet weekly with the CEO to map out the financial strategy.

Who are you in a nutshell?

  • You hold a university degree (Business Engineering, Economics, Law, or equivalent) and have (initial) relevant experience within a similar organizational structure.

  • Hands-on & Pragmatic: You enjoy getting your hands dirty and figuring things out yourself.

  • Analytical & Business-minded: You understand scale-up dynamics. You look beyond the balance sheet and understand what investors and the business truly care about.

  • Strong Communicator: You can explain complex matters clearly to the team and stakeholders.

  • Ambitious: You are looking for a place where you can make an impact and grow into a strategic CFO role over time.

  • Availability: You are available full-time or 4/5th to join our team.

  • Languages: You are fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

Why choose us?

At Kadonation, we combine the energy and boldness of a start-up with the expertise and know-how of a scale-up. You will join a dynamic tech company with an open feedback culture and plenty of room for your own initiative and ideas. There is a budget for professional development and optimizing your workspace. Most importantly: you are truly valued here.
